History
Galveston FBC was first started in 1868 with just 26 members. Prior to 1868 there was no church in Galveston, IN meaning that several families that had to drive an hour or so by buggy to attend church.

The first church building was completed in 1870. Remodeling was needed on the building and it was determined that the original foundation could not support the renovation, so the original building was taken down in 1902. On May 26, 1903 the cornerstone was laid for our current building.
GFBC has gone through several additions over the years, the most recent happening in 1998.
"Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations;
ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you."
